Just wanted to say Hello and how much I am looking forward to finishing my trike build. I purchased a 1968 Volkswagen snorkel nose style trike. It has a 1500cc motor and it appears to be stock. Has plenty of power, I actually road it several miles while purchasing it then brought it back to the shop and the disassembly started. It's about ready for paint and have a gentleman coming in next week to make the wiring harness as it has been sliced and diced throughout the years. Just got the 18 x 8 Riddler Torq Thrust wheels for the rear and still undecided on the front wheel since I have only 4" of clearance on the old Springer front forks.
Any suggestions on the front wheel selection would be greatly appreciated. Heck, for that matter all suggestions are appreciated on any part of my build. This is my first trike...For only having it for two weeks now, things are moving right along. I'll post pics as soon as I get the body painted. Think I'm going to paint it with the House of Kolor Brandywine with some type of gold metal flake stripes or accents. It's been years since I shot flake that I really want to flake the whole trike but...I truly love the Brandywine with 4-6 coats of clear....so again any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am looking forward to conversing with all who will.
