Assistance with trailer plug

I recently purchased a Rivco Luggage Rack for the rear of our GW1800 Motortrike. It comes with a running/turn/brake LED light bar. Unfortunately our trike didn't come equipped with a trailer plug. I'm looking for suggestions on the best place to get the source wires on the trike to install wires for the plug. The LED light bar kit came with saddle clamps to make the connections. I'm just looking for ideas on connections and sources.

Bill the OEM connection for the trailer harness was up under the top trunk and was accessed by removing some plastic hiding the connectors. Many Motor Trike installers relocated these connectors so you can get to them by removing the seat. Find the wires feeding your trike lights and follow them back. If they go to the mentioned connectors you will be in business. If not, shoot me a PM with your email address and I'll send you better information on how to find the wires you need. It's too involved to do here on the forums.

Yes. That is exactly what you will do.

When I converted my first GL1800 I knew how impossible it would be to access those connectors in their original location so specifically asked the installer to locate my existing harness to the right side cover area. I then spliced on wires to get back to the actual trailer hitch location.

When I did my 2015 conversion I had the opportunity and access to just do it all myself so it was less work and a neater job.

When we got our CSC back from the dealer we had a heck of a time trying to figure out how to connect our trailer. Come to find out there was a electrical connection under the body but the trailer plug end was not given to us by dealer. After returning to dealer and getting plug we proceeded to connect the plug and run wires to the hitch ball, where we mounted Kuryakyn plug and chain adapter. No more crawling around under the trike to connect the plug and chains.
