I thought Roadsmith disconnected the onboard rear hydraulic suspension on their kits . I pushed the up botton on the left side of bike and it registered. Should I take it back down to zero or is it actually working ?

Hey Don. How long ago was your '08 converted and which kit was used?
I converted my '15 when it was just a couple months old with the HTS1800 kit. One of the options was manually adjustable rear suspension using the OEM preload system. I believe if that system was not used it would be removed and thus should not register.
Take your right side cover off (the one by the passenger foot rest) and look to see if the electric pump that drives the hydraulic actuator is indeed hooked to a shock looking device connected to the Roadsmith suspension... An easier way would be simply to run the number up and measure the rear of the trike road clearance to see if it did go up.
