When I have my AVC system set to low or high on my 08 1800 it does not seem to work. When I slow down or come to the stop my volume level on my radio Remains the Same. Is this AVC not supposed to automatically lower the volume when the RPMs slow down? Looking for possible solutions or fixes or instructions on what I might not be doing right

If I'm understanding your post correctly, then the AVC is working properly. AVC only changes the volume a certain % from the base setting as it increases the volume as speed increases. For instance, if your base volume is set at 15, then it will remain at 15 until your speed increases to a certain point and then the AVC will raise that volume proportionately, either a little or a lot. As you decrease your speed the volume will return to the initial setting of 15.

This might clarify the setting. If the volume is set at 15, and the speed increases and raises the volume, the number 15 does not change. Another way of saying that is that the volume increases/decreases in the "background" but the screen setting does not change.

To test the system, do the following on a quiet road. At a stop, set the AVC on high and the volume level to where you can barely hear it. Get up to about 30, and then listen to see if you can still hear it. If you can, it's working.

OK so whatever I have my volume set at say 15 as you mention when I slow down or come to a stop that is the lowest it will go for volume level. With the AVC on then as I speed up the volume level will increase with out me manually increasing it? Thus my volume level I set with the AVC activated needs to be the level I want when slowing down or stop. I pay a little closer attention next time I'm out as I have had my setting at or near 15 with the AVC on and when at highway speed 60 -70 MPH I haven't notice an increase in level no mater if AVC is at Low or High Setting and even turned off. That volume change of a certain % is it noticeable to the ear?

Guess I can continue to exercise my finger as I've been doing on the volume control on the handle bar when I come in and leave towns.

Try the suggestion to prove it's working: set the volume to barely audible while parked. As you pick up speed and the ambient noise increases, you should NOT be able to hear the music IF the AVC is not working as the ambient noise will drown it out. If you can still hear the music then the AVC is doing it's job. To your ear it may sound the same as when you were parked but in actuality the volume has increased or you would not be able to hear the music at all.
