Wide Front Tire

Thinking about buying a new Tri Glide but I’d like to run an wide (180 mm) wheel and tire on the front. Would have to change the triple tree, fender, and of course rim,tire,etc. My question is what would the change do to my warranty? Even if I paid the dealer to do the change.

Everything but the .Triple tree, fender, wheel and tire, Would be covered with the Harley warranty.....Now maybe and i say maybe cautiously.. Your dealer will cover what they did, But i'm willing to bet no other dealer will....Something breaks on the front while your on the road, Then the repairs are on your dime...

I like the look of the wide front tires,but with that said I am wondering if it would make the steering a little heavy feeling because of the increased tire contact.

Michelin Commander II rear tire in stock size (left) .... looks wider .... and IMO has a bigger contact patch than the stock Dunlop (right).

Native American Customs makes a wide front tire kit,but they are very pricey.

Actually/theoretically wider tires will have a wider but shorter contact patch. The patch area - the part important to traction - will remain the same. The shorter patch may actually make steering lighter but may also make tracking problematic. OTOH the small change will prolly be unnoticeable.
