Hello, everyone! Thank you for allowing me to join your forum. My name is Tina Marie, from the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area.

I have been riding about 32 years. Recently traded in my Road King Classic for a new Harley Davidson Tri Glide. Wow, it is like learning to ride all over again. I took the MSF beginner and advanced rider courses in the past on my 2 wheeler. They have a 3 Wheeler course, but none near me for quite awhile. Anyone in the Pgh area interested in getting together for some instruction and riding? Otherwise, when I get more adept at this, I hope to see some of you on some rides!. I know I will learn a lot from you guys and hope to be able to contribute when I get more confidence. HAve a safe and blessed Fourth of July!

When I began reading what others had written here about riding a trike most all said give it 1000 miles and see how you feel. It took me about 800 before I was comfortable. I haven't taken a safety course but I'm sure it would be money well spent.

Welcome from Western Pennsylvania I'm about 90 miles north take your time do ride faster than your skills at the time it will come fast. I plant my out side foot firmly on the floor board on quick sweepers Watch Clearance on curbs Fuel Islands garage openings etc. Good luck there is a ton of trikes in the Pittsburgh area. Welcome to the Gang from Western Colorado. My advice is to practice, practice, practice. I found an empty parking lot and played with the trike until I got comfy. Lots of figure eights.

Hello Tina Marie and welcome to the Trike Talk family from Missouri. Like others have said, find yourself a big empty parking lot and start making figure 8's slowly and then get a little faster. Once you get the hang of turns then find a short curb and practice pulling up next to it like you would a a gas station (this is very important). After that you shouldn't have any problems. Good luck with the trike and enjoy riding.
