Much truth in your words. The American people have had it pretty good since the Depression. Yes, a few bumps in the road but, nothing anywhere close to what my grandparents went through. Then WW2. The modern world went through 911 but it appears many have already forgotten about it. Hard decisions require hard people and I doubt we have enough hard people to survive if things really get tough again. I seriously doubt this country could pull together again like it did after Pearl Harbor. Everybody pitched in, sacrificed much at every level and made it possible for future generations to live better than they did in freedom. Now it seems way too many are willing to give it all away rather than have to sacrifice their immediate gratification needs. Glad I won't be around when the final curtain falls.
