Losing or having to put down a faithful companion is one of the hardest things in life to do. We've had many great pets, and it has never been easy, rips your heart out. But I do believe that they are better off not suffering and we will join up again in the afterlife.

Remember the good times.

Sorry for your loss Fred. It's hard to explain to people who do not have pets just how hard it is when you lose one. I'm one of those people who get so attached to my pets I get so depressed when I lose one. Yes it is like loosing a member of the family because they are a member of your family.

My condolences Fred ... I know it's the reality of owning pets ... At some point, after years of giving you unconditional Love, they will cause your heart to break ... they don't mean to ... but they do.

Our condolences Fred. Dianne really liked playing with him every time she saw him. Even being a cat person, I was a fan of Miles. He made a good door buzzer to alert you when I was outside your truck that time.

Well today I had to make the hard decision and allow Miles to cross over the Rainbow Bridge. I know many of my TT friends will join me in saying a prayer for my best friend. After fifteen years, he's now able run, hear, play and feel no pain

When it comes to losing a loved pet, there is no such thing as a crybaby, and showing your humanity is nothing to be ashamed of. I've grown up with a LOT of pets (father was a veterinarian) and it's always tough to lose one.

Fred so sorry. I have been off the site working and just read about Miles. Great companion to you. I just love seeing him behind you on the Stallion and in the truck. He will be missed by alot of us. Hang in there.
