Sounds like a nice toasty day.
So I had no jobs today ... decided ... needed to get in the wind.
The GWRRA was having their Utah state rally in Price, UT.About 180 miles from me. Sounded like a nice day ride ... 360 miles round trip.
Trike handled really nice. The rake kit is phenomenal compared to the un-raked Tri. So much easier to handle.
Got about 33 mpg doing 80 mph. Really good I think. About 20 mph wind.
I did make a mistake, okay, maybe two or three.
Left at 8:30, it was nice, 75*. Got to Green River and it was 89*, still not bad. Got to Price and ate lunch, temp was 95*. Decided to head back. When I got to Green River it was 104*. Good news, I had water.
When I left home I had gym shorts and a T on. Not my best idea. I also had a mesh cap on. Needless to say, I got really over heated. The Eastern Utah desert is not the place to be when it's hot. Working outside, I have a great tan base so I didn't burn, just dried out. Again, thank God I brought a gallon of water. Now I did have a long sleeve T in the trunk and some long pants. Put them on in Green River. Bought another gallon of water to pour over me.
Long day, but fun.
Sounds like a nice toasty day.
Sounds like a good day overall Fuzzy!

Posted mpg's incorrectly. I miss read the app in my phone ... I actually got 35.2 mpg @ 80 mph with side wind. I'm liking that.
Glad to hear you were able to take a day and just go!
BUTTTTTTTT....having visited you this time of year....that is some crazy heat you have out there....and it's DRY!
We've really enjoyed our visits out your way, but after the last one Mary said, next time we visit Fuzzy it has to be at a different time of year. lol
Kevin
Done the route from Price to Grand Junction several times. Loved every time. Good food in Green River and ride from Price down to the Interstate is a great trip. 106 in Green River last time I rode thru. Didn't mind the heat. Just had plenty of water with me. Wish i was out there now.
