If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I'm in the path.Seems to be really big deal around here with renting rooms in their homes out and even parking spots in fields.Finding glasses is a joke so if I look at all a welding helmet it will be.It will be an interesting day with the store being open.I wonder how many parts we will be selling.

This happening does not peak interest in this household...too old I guess.
I'm sure people who have never seen any kind of an eclipse are anxiously waiting as we once did - and more power to them. They can say "been there, done that".
The only thing I would be watching for (via the Weather Channel) would be if the sun didn't make a come-back...then we'd be in deep du-du-.
Relief from the sun's intense blaze will be most welcome for 2 or 3 hours.
Local news did a piece on the effect of the eclipse on wildlife. Bismarck zoo invited people to come watch. I may grab the camera and run down for that. There's a strong chance for clouds, so may be nothing to see anyway.
The virgin will be thankful...
My 2 girl dogs went outside to bask in the glory of the veiled (not blacked out) sun for a bit.
The 2 boys just yawned and stretched out on their favorite place - Mama's chair!
