Thank you, for this info I will be calling "right now" to be sure..............Great info!

Yesterday the Ol'Lady and I were out on a ride about 100 miles away from home.
We seen a BBQ place and decided to stop for lunch
At the bottom of the off ramp I pushed in the clutch pedal and felt the clutch snap
I have not tore it apart yet but I think it may be the throw out bearing
Anyway I was able to get it into 2nd gear and slowly get to a parking lot
Called AAA for a tow. They said 1 1/2 hour.
After that time was up I called again. They said the truck would be here in 30 minutes
30 minutes later I called again. They said the only truck in the area was tied up and it would be another 45 minutes
After 45 minutes I called again They told me my trike was not covered so they canceled the request (but never informed me)
I had them reopen the request, They said another hour
The truck finally showed up
We waited for about 4 hours.
I had to pay the tow truck out of my pocket. A 100 mile tow is not cheap!
Its only $50 to get the Trike covered under AAA (they consider it a RV Recreation vehicle) But we did not know we had to have that addition to the policy for it.
Thank you
Bob

AAA has Motorcycle and RV Plus covers them also. Read the policy carefully. Also read if you tow a trailer what it covers. In some regions they don't cover the trailer but you can get re-reimbursed from your region after the fact. I have RV Plus had our MC trailer break loose and go off the road in South Carolina. I had to pay cash to the AAA wrecker but Florida AAA in reimburse me.

^....This fact would make me think long & hard about AAA, when renewal time comes around again. Regardless that you didn't have their RV coverage, they should have informed you of not being able to accommodate your request for help in much less than 2~3 hours of dead wait time!
Just think if you were out in the middle of nowhere, or in a bad "hood", or your cell batteries went dead, you & your "Ol Lady's" lives could have been in danger!
Simple remedy, do as I did many years ago. Join AMA and get their roadside assistance, covers all vehicles, autos, motorcycles and trikes. I've used it a couple of times, never a question on coverage. Give your policy number, and the type of service you need, wrecker, fuel, etc.

I have been in AMA for 16 years. I have their roadside but have never tried it. I believe I will be the next need.

I've had AAA RV Plus and was told that my trailer, Trike, Truck and car would be covered. I know every state may be different. I have AAA thru Cincinnati and they assured me I am covered. Hope I never need to find out.
I was right it was the throw out bearing
Also see the spring is worn
This same thing happened to me about 5 years ago but it was the tab on the other side of the bearing
I will be ordering a complete new kit today
Thank you
Bob
Yeap definitely broke

WOW! Pretty darned good diagnosis for just "feeling" the clutch snap. Hope the repair's as easy as the diagnosis was.

Beware of liberals posing as Americans.
Put a new clutch and bearing in yesterday
Cleaned and painted while it was apart.
It ready to go now.
The Ol'Lady and I have a ride planned tomorrow
Thank you
