Mr. Trike,
Please advise, at what intervals should the differential oil be changed? Miles/Age ?
Thank you for your response.
God bless,
Bob

I am not by any means Mr. Trike. He started The Trike Shop in the 70's which has become Roadsmith. If your trike is a Roadsmith conversion, here is a manual for shaft driven Honda trikes: http://www.roadsmithtrikes.com/media...4102111140.pdf
Looking at your profile, though, it seems you have a CSC conversion. You might check and ask on Trike Talk CSC forum: http://www.triketalk.com/forum/forum...fornia-Sidecar
Someone may be able to answer your question, and the kit manufacturers usually have a rep that monitors the forum.

Champion recommends checking every 5k, changing every 10k. I'm gonna do mine with every oil change, at least until it doesn't look like it did the first time I chained it.
Below is a link to CSC's Owner's Manual. All though their is probably no reason to, there is nothing wrong with doing that service more frequently.

Rear end oil should be changed after the first 3 months or3,000mi., whichever comes first. Rear end oil should then bechanged every 12 months or 20,000mi. Use only NON-synthetic80W-90 GL-5 gear oil. The differential case should contain no morethan 1 qt of gear oil.
At higher odometer readings, repeat at frequency intervals established here.
Please keep in mind that anytime I share or give advice about a motorcycle, unless I state otherwise, I am always referring to GL1800's and no other.
