Gas was 1.97 here before the storm, today it was 2.59 for regular. Crazy thing, nothing here gets fed from the refineries involved in the storm. Jim

Midland's refinery source is 42 miles away in Big Spring TX....our price is ALWAYS higher than any in the state. Lubbock and San Angelo are always cheaper - they are both just 125 miles away. The Permian Basin pumps a prolific amount of oil every day. But the C-stores, as well as electricity, food, housing, medical services, etc think that everybody here makes big bucks in the oilfield and they are going to get their part! $$$ is the name of the game. When news hits like this recent gas shortage they are going to cash in on it too. Here, if you can't run with the big boys you need to stay on the porch!
ND is the nation's #2 oil producer, our gas comes from ND and MT refineries, and we're a LONG way from Harvey. Yet our gas went up 20 cents in two days. Paying $3.049 for premium...
