Old Triker.....New Trike...

Hi All, my name is Mitch, I live in Grover Beach,Ca. Retired after 43 years in telephone industry. I had a VW trike in 78, till 86. Not sure exactly how it came about that I got rid of it, but I'm positive that it was a BAD idea. So now that I am newly single again after 31 years, I have been actively seeking a new ride. I found one in Norman, Ok, have made a deal with the owner, and will be flying out soon to claim my prize. A new to me,2002 Trike Shop Roadhawk is awaiting my arrival.Can you say ROAD TRIP??? Anyway, I am happy to be on here,hoping to hear from members as I make my trek back to Cali on the old MotherRoad route 66.

Welcome, Mitch, from the Great State of Texas!!

We were out your way from Texas in August of last year - that area is just gorgeous! I especially like the hills around Lompoc - they remind me of East Tennessee!

We rode part of 66 on our way out to CA and part of the way back to Texas - had a wonderful time and met some great people! We're sure you will have a ball on your 'new' trike!!

Welcome Beachbum45! Glad you joined us.If you are not familiar with trikes I would recommend you atleast do some figure 8'S in a parking lot before leaving on your trip.Be careful for the first 200 or so miles.RIDE SAFE

berngren, that would be great! I'll let you know when I touch down and take possesion of my "Blue Monster", decided to keep the same name as I have for my 2008 Mazda mx-5 Hardtop convertible. My 40 yr old son is salivating at all the toys I am collecting. He knows I can't ride em all at the same time. I'll keep in touch, Thanks for the offer,maybe show me some local sites, I was born and raised until the age of 8 in Perry,Ok. Haven't been back since 1962.
