Trunk Latch Indicate Open

The LED indicator shows the Trunk (bottom) is open when it isn't. If I open and shut it, the indicator goes off then will come back on after a few miles. Has anyone else had this problem or just me. I have a 2007 Goldwing.

At first thought, it sounds like the trunk switch is on the hairy edge of open/closed. When you close the trunk, the switch is made and after a little shaking, it goes to open. Take a look there.

Yes, that is what happens. However, the door is secure when I give it a slight pull to check. Frustrated...

Mine isn't a Roadsmith but if I shut mine and then give it an extra firm push at the top it seems to shut the best and turn the light off.

Your trunk latch needs to be adjusted forward just a bit. Watch the video above and follow the instructions exactly as directed, loosening only the nuts indicated in the video. Do not adjust the striker post.

Thank you Papa for your quick response in repairing this situation.................... (IT WORKED IN MY SITUATION)
