• Roadsmith Trikes & Sturgis Buffalo Chip Team for Second Annual T.O.U.R. Trike Ride

White Bear Lake, MN (March 31, 2014) Industry icon, Roadsmith Trikes, has once
again teamed up with the legendary Buffalo Chip for the second annual Trike Owners United Ride (T.O.U.R.) scheduled for Wednesday, August 6th at 3:00 PM during the Sturgis rally. The T.O.U.R. all-trike ride will begin in historic Hill City, SD for the start of a scenic 50 mile ride that will culminate with a trike procession through the Buffalo Chip to a special reception at the Russ Brown Events Center. Free of charge, the T.O.U.R. is open to all makes and models of trikes.

“This year’s T.O.U.R. event promises to be even bigger and better than last year’s, with more trikes, more prizes and more fun," says Roadsmith general manager, Doug Lindholm. “We're proud to work with our friends at the legendary Sturgis Buffalo Chip to sponsor this event for the second year in a row.”

Trike riders that attended last year’s event are still talking about it and have already made plans to attend again this year.

“The T.O.U.R. event gives trike owners the opportunity to experience and share with others our passion and love for the open road and the freedom it instills," says 2013 T.O.U.R. participant, Paul Marquardt. "I thoroughly enjoyed last year's ride from Hill City through some of the most scenic parts of the Black Hills to the Buffalo Chip, and I can't wait for another memorable event this year.”

This year’s T.O.U.R event marks the second year of Roadsmith’s partnership with the Sturgis Buffalo Chip, working together to give all trike riders a one-of-a-kind experience at the Sturgis rally. All participants have the opportunity to partake in the group ride on some of the area’s most spectacular roads, enjoy a catered dinner with live entertainment and door prizes, be part of the group photo and have full access to the world-famous Motorcycles as Art exhibition at the Russ Brown Events Center. Registration may be available on the day of the event, however, pre -registration is encouraged due to a limited number of available accommodations.

You can pre-register for the 2013 Trike Owners United Ride by visiting Buffalo Chip T.O.U.R. All makes and models of trikes are welcome.

I'd just like to add a couple things to this thread... If you plan to participate in the T.O.U.R., you are encouraged to pre-register by clicking on the link above. This will give Roadsmith and the Buffalo Chip an early heads up on the numbers they can plan for, (shirts, food, etc.) If you plan to register in Hills City, SD on the day of the T.O.U.R., the 6th of August, you would be wise to be there at 11:00 AM. The ride is scheduled to start at 3:00 PM, not 3:30, as stated above.

As stated on an earlier thread (Sturgis 2014) we're planning on a get-together and ride for any TT/TOI members that plan on attending the Sturgis MC Rally (August 4th - 10th). I recommended that we initially meet at the T.O.U.R., so as to get an idea of our numbers and to fine tune the particulars of our meet and ride on one of the following days of the Rally. I will be following up on our event about 30 to 45 days, preceding the Rally, so please stay tuned to this forum for further details.
