My name is Shane new to your forum.
Im currently not riding havent rode for a while now took a bad fall destroyed my bike.
fixin to start building my first trike.
first of let me tell you alittle about me. Im a family man, an exmarine, a systems designer, fabricator, welder, millright, electrical and mechanical specialist. I like to build things that are different.

the trike im fixn to build ( hope no one gets affended) is not a traditional trike its going to have a car back end with back seat and trunk or hatch
a v8 motor in front my seat will be over the tranny. Ill have to build my on forks so im not sure of the rake yet. if any one has seen one similar or has one id like to discuss the forks and handle bars. Im glad to have found the forum to show the pics off while im building it. again thanks for the forum and look forward to talking with yall in the future...

I have see many like you describe. some are VW rear 1/2s some use whole Car front ends and Bike rears. A lot use Honda Gold wing or other large bike front ends. Check with B of TTW ( Brothers of The Third Wheel ) sounds like one of their creations. Glad to have you aboard

Welcome aboard! Nice to see members coming on that are doing the non-motorcycle based trikes. The variety of trikes at a good sized trike-in is amazing, even more to see than a large ragular bike show.

As far as the front end, Most I have seen with a V8 hae sort of a connecting rod system. Here are a few links with pics:

thanks for the website i checked it out the brothers of the third wheel has some really cool pics a couple of what im doing so i can get a good idea on it. my metal will be at the shop friday so i can start cutting and welding the frame together i hadnt found the rear end yet i lost out on a 94 camero got out bid by 5 damn ebay...

2 bad you live so D__ far away.( almost everyone lives far away ) I could get into a project like that. If yours comes out as nice as that , and I bet it will. That is beautiful and I normally don't like them. . I want a ride <LOL> I will see if I can find some of the ones from my Americade pictures.
