Trailer suggestion

I'm wanting to tow my Roadking trike on a trailer. My pulling vehicle is a Honda CRV so not much capacity. Any suggestions on a trailer make that would fit my needs. Thank you.

I know one thing - you tow your trike with your CRV and you'll think you have a large hole in your gas tank.

I have a 6' x 10' Aluma enclosed trailer. It's incredibly light. My triglide just fits width wise. You may have to go to a 7' x 10' for the roadglide to fit.

I plan to purchase an Aluma TK1, just waiting for the dealer to get one in stock. I need something light that I can move around by hand and it weighs 500 pounds.. I live in the middle of the block and don't have a lot of access to a place to park it. I could move but the house is paid for and I don't want to take on another house payment. I could store it at a storage place but why take on the expense. An enclosed trailer would be nice but if I didn't have a trailer and rode the trike to those far away events it would be exposed to the elements wouldn't it. Some would say why tow it but my health is not what it once was and I don't want to get 2000 miles from home and not be able to get back home. I may change my mind but right now Aluma is my choice.

I believe Kendon is now making a trike trailer, they are light and work well. I have a Drop Tail trailer. It also folds up like the Kendon for storage. It is fairly light. Towing with the Honda may be taxing it quite a bit. Trailer at 500 lbs and a trike at 1200 lbs equals about a ton of weight being towed. What is the rating on the Honda? With my Buick Rendouvs, per the owners manual, I have to place the tranny in 3rd gear while towing or the tranny keeps shifting back and forth.

I believe that CRV has a recommended towing capacity of 1500 lbs. My Street Glide with a CSC conversion kit on it weighs right at 1300 lbs, my 3 rail trailer is about 450 to 500 lbs. I know this because I just trailer ed to Maggie Vally and back. In order to get the proper tongue weight I had to put 500 more pounds of weight on the front of the trailer to get 230 lbs of tongue weight. I pulled it with a Honda Ridgeline Truck and the trailer tracked well. If you can load your trike backwards you can eliminate the counter weight I had to use, but I don't think pulling yours with a CRV is a good idea. Ride Safe!

The first time I read your post I wanted to say NO WAY, DON'T tow your trike with that vehicle. I thought that if you did tow, the trailer would need brakes and that would be an absolute must. I saw that the OEM tow capacity was 1500 lbs, that is with a driver & maybe a full tank of fuel, after that everything you pack is removing that much towing capacity. It doesn't take much to see that you will quickly have very little safe towing capacity. I have seen & been in overloaded towing vehicles, it is not fun to be in a vehicle that is being CONTROLLED by the trailer attached to it. I'm sure most of us have seen some of those overloaded vehicles & trailers, the ones without trailer brakes try to push you right thru a stop, others try to push you around sideways when going around curves and that famous side to side whipping going straight down the highway no matter wind or big trucks.
So after thinking about it I say, DON'T DO IT!!! If you were my friend I would tell you, here use my vehicle made for towing or rent something for towing. I know there are those out there that have & will tow just about anything without a thought or laugh about it while calling others a wimp, but it's not fun to have to pickup after the laughing stops and someone has to cleanup the mess. Trips around town at slow speeds are one thing, but on the hwy for long trips I say NO NO NO!
