Need thoughts on our plans to travel from eastern PA to eastern part of Iowa. Looking to do this July 4th weekend.
It seems a fast pace would be two days, slow then no more than 4 days.
Would stay off main interstate so we can see a few sites.

I just came through Iowa and found US-20 to "be the road" for seeing some great farmlands and scenery. Also, it's just a short ride off 20 to Anamosa to visit J&P Cycles and their National Motorcycle Museum.
we live in eastern Iowa community of Maquoketa....the entire northeast corner of Iowa is great for riding....stop at Poopies in Savannah Illinois before crossing the river.it will take you across the river on highway 64 headed to Anamosa. a trip up to the north east corner by McGregor and Lansing is a great ride. Iowa is full of motorcycles
Did that trip a couple of years ago. We went to Anamosa for J&P's open house and went to the museum. we pick up Highway 20 outside Casper Wyoming and went across Nebraska. What a blast. The museum is well worth the trip. We stayed in Cedar Rapids. Will do it again next year. This year it's off to Glacier National Park!!!
