Do not try and pet those COWS lol
Buffalo are definately not domestic animals.
Last time some got out here, the deputy had to
wait til the owner showed up with a feed truck.
The buffalo followed the feed truck all the way home
Seven miles worth.
Never got up close to Buffalo. Dont know how they act. But should always be careful around animals.

Buffalo don't like the noise a motorcycle makes. Be careful.

A few years ago we were riding through Yellowstone when a herd of buffalo ambled out onto the road and stopped. We were on our Harleys, about 8 cars back in the line. One of the buffalo seemed to like yellow and white (or DIDN'T like it???). He stepped out of the herd, walked back to Mike and I and stood stock still just staring at me and my yellow/white Fatboy within an easy arm's reach. I slowly put the kick stand down and eased over so my weight was all on my left foot, ready to haul my butt out of there if he stepped closer to my right side. I stayed frozen there without making direct eye contact for what seemed like forever until he grunted and turned away to join up with the herd. Mike snapped a picture as best he could, but I mostly recall seeing the snow white faces pressed against the rear window of the car in front of me. They told me afterward that they had thought I was going to get rammed.
I wondered that too, but in all honesty, he seemed more curious than aggressive. It was a real adrenaline rush; scary but also very exciting! I'll see if I can find the picture Mike took and scan it in to show you.

Last year we were in South Dakota and we saw some of those "Strange Looking Cows". They are amazing to watch and yes they do like yellow. We were riding in Custer State Park and a herd was moving along side the road and when we got a little closer some of the buffalo stoped and gave us a good look. We were also ready to move just in case they wanted to get a better look at our yellow trike. By the way, that is some beautiful country there to ride in.
These happened to bend a fence.Don't know how much that would help ,but they did not pay us much attention.Would like to see that pic NANA.
