Low priced headsets

I am waiting for my Goldwing Trike to be done, and while I wait I have a few things to find. One is some reasonably priced headsets for the wife and I. Don't really want to pay $75 each for a pair of them. Maybe after we've had the trike a while, but not yet. Where can I find them?

I feel your pain and had a conversation about this once with the guy that owns (or has some degree of serious responsibility) with J&M. Every time I tried to get a part-or-piece for a set....they had discontinued that particular design and parts were no longer available.
It all seems to be a gimmick to force you to purchase a new set...or sets. I don't know of any place you will be able to get a new set of any kind for under $75, but I have to admit I am a Harley owner and don't know a great deal about the Honda components. Good luck!

As I would told the trike is only the starter kit, then U add from there...

Knowing that I was going to be almost exclusively shortie helmeted at Sturgis last year, I looked for something without the helmet speakers and ran across some reasonably priced headset that can be used even without a helmet. And they were only $45 each.

I bought a set and have been thoroughly pleased with them.

I have 2 of the same headsets, plus 2 J&M that came with another Bike, for the difference in money go with IMC. I actually paid more for them, so Blue Trinity has put you onto a deal.

I looked at the J&M sets as well, but I suspect the difference is in the sound quality for music. That was not an important criteria for me since I rarely listen to the radio while riding.

What I would really like to find is a set like the IMC that uses ear buds instead of the muffs. Air Rider makes some (Wingers take note) but they have not developed
any that are compatable with the existing HD sound system yet.

They have promised to advise me when they start producing them.

It will set you back another $55 but one of these adaptors should work, and you can then use your own ear buds. That is what i am currently doing, I cut the ear pads off a J&M and only use the mic on a 1/2 helmet, and I put and ear plug in one ear. Works great for the little bit I use it. I got the used J&M for free on a bike purchase so I did not feel bad about cutting them.
