Sweet video, Im heading to OBX first week of June, via W.Virginia then Virginia I64,(first overnight Lexington,Va.)
Any suggestions where to go or not go while in Virginia enroute to OBX? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,John
thanks for the ride. Hope to ride that part of the country next year!
Nice ride John. I loved seeing the redbud trees starting to bloom. We do not have any winding road where I live so I appreciate you sharing your ride with us. I'll be looking for the next one.
John,
Give me a shout if you're considering a local ride. I'm not too far from your home location.
That sounds like a great run. If you have never ridden the Blue Ridge Parkway, that would be a great ride. Out of Lexington, take route 11 north to Raphine. Go east on route 56 (5 miles or so) VERY winding road to Blue Ridge Pky. North to Interstate 64, then east. Also, a shouldn't miss (in my opinion) would be Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's home in Charlottesville. Exit off I64 at exit 121A, route 20. Follow signs, it is really close to Interstate. Those would be my two picks.

I'll do that. We get down to route 460 every once in a while, going to the Virginia Diner at Wakefield. If you ever get to Waynesboro, stop by Eagle's Nest Airport. I am there 7 days a week or out riding, one of the other.

One thing we do have here, is lots of winding roads. It is a riders paradise. I was trying to get my feet under me with that video. Next week we are putting our bikes on the Explorer of the Seas cruise ship. As we get to the different islands, we are escorted around the islands on OUR OWN CYCLES. Over the coarse of 9 days, we will ride Bermuda, St. Maarten, and Puerto Rico. I am so excited I can't wait. Guess that will be my next video.

You will enjoy it. My wife is from Thomas, Ok, so the area is quite different from what she was use to. There is so much to see and so many different roads to ride. As we get together to do our rides, different leaders will take different great riding roads that I have never been on, and I have lived here all my life, and ridden for 45 years of my 66.

First let me say, thanks for all you do. The first thing I did to the trike was your lift brackets. Wonderful!! I did try about a dozen places and ways to mount the camera. Except for the shake at idle, it is the best I have found. I used the Ram Mount 6" extension on the handle bar with the 1" ball clamp, and angled it as far forward as I could. I was surprised being so long there wasn't more vibration than I get. Added a bacpac because I got tired of guessing what it was filming. After the last trip, I will do the remote on my wrist for starting and stopping and shutting the camera on and off. I'm sure it will be a life-long process to make it better. You take care, and stop by the airport if you get to Waynesboro, Va.

I have the extra wide Clark windshield on mine so it is looking through the windshield. I have an old tech mount I have been using. Have had it mounted to the bars and the bagger bar and have had mixed results. I will work on getting it mounted where it is not behind windshield. I have allot of reflection off it.
We have never been much on picture taking, figured this is a way to get some taken. I also had to get the view add on. Strange not knowing what is being shot. Did learn to start video, then shut off display to save battery.
Look forward to more of your videos.
