Trike Shop Runabout, Roadhawk

Hi, I am a new to the three wheel version of transportation. I just purchased a 2005 Trike Shop runabout. It Has 2333cc VW motor (145 hp) and auto trans. I have not seen the trike in person yet, i purchased threw a online auction. The shipper picks it up this week and i will get it shortly after the new year. Does anyone out there ride a Runabout or Roadhawk from the trike shop? Thanks for any input

Thanks, i am real excited i had to stop riding motorcyle 16 years ago because of bad hips finally have enough$ to get a trike.

Hey there! I just got a 2006 Roadhawk a couple of months ago. My best bud, John Berkey, posted a picture of it earlier today. It's the yellow one with the farout graphics. I bought it from Jack Joiner from Oklahoma in November and it arrived via shipper on December 3rd. Since then I've put about 1,100 miles on it and absolutely love it. It drives and handles like a dream. I'm really, really looking forward to warmer months - - 'cause I retire on 4/23/10!!! John and I are planning on alot of triking. I just hope you enjoy your new trike as much as I do! (If it uploaded properly, I've attached a picture of me and my baby at the 2009 Shriner's Toy Run two days after I got it.) Three20's - we had a Trikshop Runabout, only 1835 though. do you have the dual Webbers? our carb was a 40mm dual throat Dell'Orto DRLA. we also had the full auto, and gloria had Dick (He hadn't "retired" yet and turned the shop over to his son Doug yet) put in a foot accelerator. Man I miss that trike. It was a hot rod, but the Goldwing is a better touring platform for the 600 mile/day trips we make during the year now.

I will have to get some Pictures, I got the trike about a month ago. I live in North Dakota, I would have to put skies on it to use this time of year. It kills me every time i walk by it in the garage, I want to get on and ride. I should be able to ride by the end of March. Big Dan

Hey there! Nice looking rig! I can just imagine your emotions everytime you see it sitting in your garage and then look outside at the snow.....I used to live in northern Minnesota years ago (eight month winters!). I hope you enjoy your Runabout as much as I enjoy my Roadhawk. I've had mine since December 3rd and have over 1,500 miles into it so far. If I'm not mistaken we have the same engines and mine purrs like a kitten cruising down the highway. Again, fine, fine looking Runabout, my friend!! Hope to see you on the road someday. Ya know, wouldn't it be great if we could discover that somewhere out there there existed a Runabout/Roadhawk owner's group. Sigh........

I was looking for a Roadhawk, they are about a foot longer, But i found the Runabout, I got from a auction for far less than half of of KBB value. I was shocked when I got:yes: the winning bid, so low.
