Hello,

My name is Jim. I am a newbie here and have a few questions.

What is the vibration level of the 4 cyl motor?

What is the noise level in the cockpit at both low and high speeds? Is wind noise more prevelent than drive train noise at freeway speeds or visa versa?

What year Ranger engine do they put in the Stallion?

How is the fit and finish of the ABS body?

Are there any rattles or body shake in the ABS body?

Is the ABS body as strong as the fiberglass body?

Welcome, My 09 had an 07 Ranger engine/drive train, as identified by local Ford dealer service.

About our Stallion, the best trike on the market (IMHO)

Engine smooth w/no vibration

Changed muffler, made a lot of difference in exhaust noise, no need to purchase a high dollar kit just go to a muffler shop.

Has no drive train noise

2007 Ford engine

ABS has a great smooth finish

ABS has less rattles than fiberglass body.

You will see small vibration at idle in the mirrors as the hood does not have locking pins at the rear. I believe there is a fix in progress, no info yet from the factory.

The engine is great, loves cold weather, no accelerator hesitation cold. You will not get 45 mpg on the highway unless you keep your speed around 55. I travel around 70 and get about 33 mpg.

Design closed fit of the rear trunk to body could be better. If you adjust hinges and latch to align better, you may have to slam the lid to shut, not good for plastic. Gasket material does not appear to wear in and minimize this issue.

With auto muffler I can hear only wind, and it is not bad. Passanger has more wind noise than driver, the wind break point is just behind the drivers head.

I don't think so, each has it's own strong points. Fiberglass has a top shelf custom paint, smoother lines, and I think it would provide better protection in a crash as it is thick!

My wifes Stallion is way more quiet than my goldwing in the wind at highway speeds if that helps. She has ABS body and we have no complaints. You do need to be careful with making sure the trunk does close. Make a habit of shutting it then puilling up to make sure the lock engaged.

I love the stallion because it got my wife back to riding with me again and now we ride as a Family, and that is priceless.

My wifes Stallion is fiberglass. She loves a little muffler noise but that is what you hear. Rider wind noise is very little. The fiberglass body came first. They switched to ABS a little over a year ago. Very little vibration. It will get to top speed in a hurry. Gas mileage is 32 to 35. I have only heard of one person getting 45 and that was down hill. The ABS probably has a better fit because it is molded, but the fiberglass is very strong as it was hand laid up. They saved weight and assembly time by going ABS. With the new model without A/C the base price is a steal. Only add what you need. We love my wifes and HIGHLY recommend it .

Thank you very much, Sir. This is exactly the type information I need. I have test driven/ridden a Spyder RT and need to go do the same with a Stallion while I wait for the right person to come along and adopt my RoadSmiith/GL1800.

Whatever I get next will just expand my experience base as I have missed each of my two previous trikes after they were gone and am sure that I will miss thee current one as well. All three have been joys to own and ride in their unique ways.
