There's been alot of discussions on the boards about the front tire on the trikes. My question is, did anyone put a pilot activ on the front of a Harley Ultra? If they did what size and any comments on this.

They don't make that size yet.

I was looking for the same info. I only have about 10,000 on mine but I would like to get the Dunlop off the front.

I really don't think the brand of the tire has as much to do with it as the idea that it is a rear configuration. Is not the rear tire and front tire of the same size (rim size ) on a Harley. if this is so, than placing the rear tire you took off on to the front rim would work.
Michlin DOES make the right size for Harleys according to their online catalog. It's just that they're extremely hard to find. The HD front & rear tires are slightly different sizes, but I've "eyeballed" that & it looks like the rear will fit on the front. Haven't tried it yet because that was one of my reasons to do the conversion -- my rear tire needed replacing. If the trike gets the same milage out of front tires the bike did, I should have another 10 - 15,000 left on the front. Has anyone tried different brands other than Dunlop on the front yet? Avon? Metzler? Michlin Commanders? I do know the MU85B16 size rear tire has a higher gross weight rating & more tread (2/32 more) than the MT85B16 in the Dunlops.

WOW NM you converted because your rear tire wore out. YOU THE MAN.

I've replaced the Dunlop front tire with the Michelin Commander tire of the same size on my 07 Ultra with Lehman kit. The Michelin Commander tires are available through HD dealers as well as other bike tire outlets.
The Michelin tire gives me a smoother ride and less shock vibration through
the handlebars than the Dunlop did, although the Dunlop was starting to cup.
Only time will tell whether the Michelin will do the same thing.
The cupping is not a normal wear condition Don; make sure the new tire is balanced or insert DynaBeads.
