Trailer plug

have a champiion trike kit i need to install a trailer plug on-----there are 7 wires ran back from the factory to hook it up-anyone tell me what the "universal plug for trikes is and where the plugs are normaly placed ?l

Most trailers will have a 4 pin flat and from my research I have found that most bikes have a 5 pin flat. I plugged the 5 pin on the bike into the 4 pin on my trailer and everything works.(the only 7 pin I have seen are RV plugs)

Here is a link to the adapter that I installed on my Champion kit. This will allow you to use the same bulb side for both brake and signal (North American system). Right now your Champion is likely wired like the European system. Where the brake light is one side main bulb and the turn signal is a separate bulb. Usually amber.

I got mine for $19.00 at Wally World in the trailer /automotive section. you know what I never did check to see if we carry them at Lowe's I bet tractor supply carries them too.

I am leaning towards powered converter style to escape prolems it seems to be able to get with the "newer and better thin wire improvements" on these newer bikes
