Quieted Down the Aero Trike.....

Muffler Shop Buddies are Great Folks to know. The Aero 750 Trike that Mitzie bought was terribly loud with Cobra straight pipes on it, plus the annoying backfire and popping at times. I had exhausted my resources for finding a Stocker (...missed one in Indiana by 2 hours last week), so I took it to Mike, my Muffler Shop Buddy. I let Him have discount parts along, He lets me have discount muffler service....really good system.........His Employee Greg, that loves and rides motorcycles Himself, did a great job. Still just a little "throaty", but nice and quiet with all the annoying habits gone. The Cobras were solid mounted also, sending needless vibration oscillations through the handlebars, foot pegs, via the frame. Greg mounted Everything on square Rubber mounts....gone are the Vibes....Super Job.....

2 into 1 via a Large "Y" Pipe.....



He used one of the original Cobra square chrome tips on the end.....





All totally Rubber mounted......



Another plus with a Trike is all of this is nicely tucked away up under the Body.....now to spray a little Black Header Paint.....:wtg:

Hmmmm Mine doesn't have rubber mounts on the exhaust. Thanks for mentioning that.

Did you have to adjust the carb when you added the muffler?

Nope, it actually runs better....it was a tick lean with the straight pipes on it.....the rubber mounts definetly made a vibration difference.....:wtg:
