Hi all;

Just thought I would make an appearance here. I used to own a GL1500SE Goldwing but it was taken from me by a Freightliner truck back in January of this year. Members of the Steve Saunder's Goldwing Forum followed me during my hospitalization and rehabilitation. Over there, I am known as AZgl1500 so I just used that as my moniker over here.

Doctor says I can't trust my balance anymore, so two wheelers are out of the picture.

I still have "bikeitis", so it seems that I will have to transition to a Trike of one form or another. That obviously brings up the question of "which brand of trike?" and maybe what type of motorcycle?

I can't stand loud noises or vibrations, so anything that is not water cooled and inherently balanced is out of the picture.

I've already ruled out the Voyager kits because of their instability. I am going to demand that the new trike be inherently stable, comfortable to ride for long miles, and be friendly to my wife's comfort and also have the world's best brakes

I've never been on one before, so I know I need to do some test driving. So, some thoughts would be appreciated as to where to look for places that allow you to try out their trike.

I'm on my first day back to work after the accident, so am trying to rejoin the work-a-day world again.

Welcome John. I'm new on this site also and will be new to triking by the middle of next week. My bike goes to the shop tomorrow and will receive the CSC kit.

I really can't comment on one kit over the other since I've only ridden 3 trikes; all three were IRS. I think most would say, ridea ll that you can so you can make an educated choice. Cost might be a factor in your choice but I would be careful trying to "get by". Ride and make your choice and spend the money. I think it's worth doing that. Thought I would spend about $10,500. The final number was a little over $16,000. Sticker shock!!!!!

Hi John, and welcome to Trike Talk! I have a Champion kit on my Fat Boy, and I love it. I have really found nothing to dislike. With the EZ steer option it is truly easy to steer, and I have found it to be inherently stable and feel very secure on it. I find it a pleasure to recommend Champion because of my positive experience, but I know there are other wonderful, equally good brands out there. I actually settled on it finally because it gave me the appearance I wanted as well as the ride. I agree that you should test drive as many as you can and pick what you like best.

John, welcome and hope U continue to improve. As I have stated before ride every different trike U can. What suits one will not suit another. There are a lot of good Trike Manf out there so U have a lot to choose from. As usual everyone is proud of the one they own. So ride all U can and then deceide. Good luck. If U get time there is a lot of good reading and information on this board.
