    Wink Comparison

besides the price difference of an 2009 model and a 2010 model...is there any significant changes between the two?

A lot of the demo's have been upgraded. The 2 at TBMS dealer at Daytona had new ABS bodies put on them before they closed the dealership. The body was the big difference between the 09's and the 10's.

Is there any differences between the 2010 and 2011 other than a big price increase?

What I love most about my 2009 is that I got one with the fiberglass body and not the plastic. Makes for very easy cleaning and to me it looks better .

i would pass on the plastic for a few model runs to see what the durability of the plastic is going to be--- fiberglas is much easier to repair.
Remember--It is never the issue but rather how we react to the issue is the issue.

"V" about 1/3 through the "09" model year they switched to the ABS body. The reason for the change was 2 fold. Expense to layup the fiberglass body and the ability to produce more units. Not any other changes except small cosmetic ones.

I just got to ride a 2008 Stallion and while it looks great I did notice a few things that concerned me.
    1. Using the steering wheel, I found that I usually had to turn the wheel 10 to 15 degrees to start any change in direction. Is this a feature of this vehicle or a unit that may need service?
    2. Getting in and out seems to be quite a process. Not so easy with my still old legs. I can get on my Goldwing Trike easier....
    3. While driving the Stallion, I noticed that I got a lot of reflection off of the clear plastic that covers the Instrument panel and it looked crooked or warped.

Am I being extremely picky after owning a Goldwing for the last 4 years???

I like the looks of the Stallion, but the handling and some of the fit and trim issues concern me.

Welcome to TrikeTalk, Wyldbill! We've got a number of Stallion owners, and GW trike owners here, some have or (have had) both so you should get some clear replies to the question. You might check with tmigala..... his daughter is on a GW, his wife has had a stallion for several years, and he certainly could make the comparisons for you.

    Wyldbill

    I have both a GL1500 and a Stallion.

The Stallion steers like a car, the steering wheel is very responsive.

There is a video on one of the Stallion deals site that shows the easy way to get in and out. Stand facing the front, step your right leg in on the left side, now step your left leg in, so both leges are on the same side left in fron t of the right, then step over the seat with your right. Maybe some one can link you to the video.

Depending on the angle of the sun the plastic can glare, put on polorized shades and no problem.

My wife likes the way a Stallions sits, I like the way the Goldwing sits, thats why we have both.

Wyld Bill, The steering is not like that normally. It sounds like that one needs some work. Some of the early ones need this. It should still be under warrantee.

My wife has bad knee but has worked out a routine to easily get in and out. She mounts from the left side, puts her right foot first on the running board just in front of the vent. Steps over the end with her left foot putting it in the left foot well. She then crosses her right leg over the seat into the right well and she is in. Reverse to exit.

Reading the instruments in the sun light is a challange. The dial instruments you usually can but the lighted items only at night.
