John, have you talked to Joan (Ironhorsepilot) about her Legacy or Ridley? I've seen pics - both are beautiful bikes!

Well the CF Legacy deal fell through. I thought might want to hear this. The bike was WON in a silent auction 4 years ago by his sister. It was delivered by truck with 18 miles on it. SAT for 3 1/2 to 4 years in this guys garage never started. He decided to try and start it . The battery was dead DUH! He hooks it to his truck battery and starts to crank it . He says it turned over really slow. ( at first he said for a few mins.) when I said you should never crank any motorcycle more than a few seconds ( max 10sec) he changed his mind and said a few times.
All of a sudden it went dead.
Sounded like the started gave up the farm and died. He never drained out the old gas just added more to it. It never did start. HERE is the question. If he did fry the starter How much to fix it ? Also sounds like it needs a complete fuel system clean up and of course a new battery. any idea of that cost?
John, I would take that 75 mph pretty lightly! Mine does 60 on the flat roads and it is not the most comfy ride at 60. If it is triked, I would think it would not even do 60. But there IS someone in SC that used to have the trikes already built to ride. I will see if I can find the website.

John,
on the trike starter, it will beed to be replace , fuel system completely drained and the carb[s] rebuilt, check your local cycle shop for the price of all thar.
