Shipping Facility Move
Memphis, TN is the #1 Shipping & Logistics Hub in North America.
Though our Manufacturing, Packaging, & Customer Service facility is in Red Banks, MS, our Shipping Facility is 35 miles north of us, in Memphis.
This helps us get packages delivered more quickly!
September 1st we moved from one facility, to another, right across the street.
- Over 750 "Bins" of finished goods
- 714 Different SKU's
- 24518 pieces of inventory
Everything had to be counted by hand, then scanned out of one facility and into the other.
The old facility that we used for the last 5 years...
...shelves starting to empty.
We made over 20 trips...
...moving everything across the street to the new facility.
Getting everything unloaded and moved...
....counted and scanned...
...then moved to the right Bin location...
...so it could be put away.
It was a big job, but by 8:30 pm on Friday it was looking better.
Saturday was spent finishing up putting everything away.
On Tuesday we shipped the first 140 orders out of the new facility, using an entirely new shipping software.
