Trailer for 2010 Tri Glide

I'm new to Trike Talk and have enjoyed reading what other trike riders are sharing. Lots of good information! I bought my 2010 Tri Glide 2 weeks ago and love it. I have ridden Harleys for 30 years so of course it is taking a little bit of adjustment but it is starting to feel more and more comfortable. My question is about trailers to haul trikes on. I have a utility trailer but in can't load my trike on it because the mufflers drag when I try to drive up the ramp. I jacked up the front of the trailer to lower the ramp, but can't get anywhere close enough for clearance. Any suggestions besides using very long ramps? Does anyone know of inexpensive trailers that will work for trikes? Thanks for any help.

ScalpHunter and I went to Wells Cargo in Waco, and they built us a 16' x 7' enclosed trailer, v-neck, which we customized with electricity and cable access, vinyl flooring, adjustable chocks, an enclosed WC, flat screen tv, microwave, cooler, portable A/C & heater, cupboards, tables, inflatable beds - and a doorbell! - and we still have room for our 2008 GW1800 CSC. (See pictures under my profile.) The rear door has a steel lip that makes getting the trike in and out very easy.

Not sure what your price range is but DROP Tail Trailers would work from what I am told.
They sell a trailer setup for a trike.
Or see if you can buy a used trailer to save some cash

I have a 2010 Tri-Glide Also. since I already had an open 5'x10' trailer I just use that. I drive it slowly onto the trailer. The pipes scrape a little but no harm to them (only to road, I won't load or unload in driveway). I have tried a board to raise end of ramp up to go down by steps. But it still scapes when getting off. I do try and stand up so my weight is not on trike. Next time I will just be placing a board for pipes to scrape on.

How about parking with trailer wheels in a ditch, or maybe back up to a curb if you are in a city?

If you're close to Central PA, I just happen to be listing one for sale. It's a full 6' x 10' inside and I hauled my HD/CSC, which is one of the widest on the road. The drop ramp allows the trike to load with no pipe dragging.

I've upgraded with the diamond plate guard to catch mud and road grime and there's a wheel chock right behind it. The yellow parts you see are a Gorilla Lift I installed. With this lift my 8 year old grandson can raise and lower the gate with one hand.

It has a 2"x6" treated wood floor which has been kept waterproofed and with the full 15" wheels, it pulls like a dream at 65-70 mph.

So why am I selling it? I just found a bargain I couldn't refuse on a year old Haulmark Low-Rider Edge enclosed trailer.

I'm listing it at $1,500, looking to get around $1,400.

I have a buddy that has one like the one on ebay in the response by Nana that I have used. I trailered to NC on I-95 and it was a smooth tow. Easy to strap bike down and ride was very stable. This one had three pull out drive track ramps that worked fine without pipes dragging. I have a 6x10 like Blue Trinity that I modified to haul my 09 Triglide. Installed wheel chock in front centered attached to a steel plate underneath and put I-bolts in each corner on the front and rear. Also centered a recessed hook in back to put a strap on the bumper that reduces bounce. Worked fine the time when I used it.

I'm new to the site, and reading this "What trailer for a trike" I'm curious...Have I done something wrong? Put 67000 miles on the trike I have and it's only been on a 6x12 utility trailer once...had to drop it for a rake kit (two day job) and I didn't feel like walking...Am I susposed to trailer the trike or ride it?

I only trailered mine to NC for 1K service as I was not comfortable riding solo. A couple of friends canceled out on the ride. I was a new rider at this time (never riden before). Rode down for 5K though.
The other with my personal 6x10 was to test the trailer.

I live in south central Kentucky and I have a part time mowing business that I do besides a full time factory job. My wife and I vacation in Florida and we have to go during the November to March time period when often we have weather that's not great for motorcycling. I would rather not trailer it but because of weather uncertainty it's seems like a good option.

Sounds to me like you're tryin' to pick a fight...but you won't get it from me.

I've put on far more miles than that but I sure ain't the least bit squeamish or embarrased to trailer it anywhere at any time.

I figured out a long time ago that you and I each paid a heck of a lot of money for our trikes and we can each do what ever we dang well please with them.:Flag:

My trailer only get's used for dropping trike at dealer. My wife doesn't drive and it is a 20 minute drive or 2 hrs+ by multiple buses.
Last weeks rides were from Long Island, to Manchester, NH to Rutland, VT to upstate NY and back home. Low temp. of 22'F. Today I rode the 400+ miles to western PA. Heavy rain on the way. Trike needs a washing anyways. And by the way, all these trips are for business. Paid for my time and miles. Life doesn't get any better.

I don't know if your comment was in just or you were seriously taking a stab, but this site is a user friendly place, please don't put down someone because they may need to trailer. There are a lot of valid reasons to trailer rather than ride. Glad you have been able to enjoy that much riding on yours.
