I am very excited to find this forum. I don't have my Trike yet. It is on order from HD. I am getting a 2009 factory trike in black to match my hubby's Black ultra Classic. I finished my MSF course this past weekend and passed. I have had my learners permit and have two bikes that I am selling. I have a Ridley Auto-Glide and a QLink Legacy 250. I like two wheels, but I really want to tour the country now that we are retired. I sure can't hold up a large touring bike and don't want to. So I was real happy when hubby agreed to the Tri-Glide. He is tired of me twisting his ears on the back of his on long trips.

Once you ride your own, it is hard not to be in control. My Trike should be here late Nov. or early Dec. I had to travel the east coast to find one that would be available, as most have been sold already.

Welcome aboard, Ironhorsepilot! I don't have my trike yet either, but I'm actively shopping and feel sure that I'll have one soon. This forum has been great for research and getting tips and ideas--you'll love it.

How exciting to be waiting for your new trike to arrive! I've seen some pix of that new HD trike--looks pretty sweet. Be sure to post some photos in the Garage part of this forum once you get your new ride--share the trike love!

Hi Ironhorsepilot. It is a pleasure to welcome you to the forum! The new Triglide is very nice. An HD dealer in SC pulled one out of the showroom and let us test drive it last month. I am on a Fat Boy w/ Champion kit and love it! My husband (on his street glide) and I take frequent trips and also local rides. You are going to have a ball!! Like Juju said, please post pictures, and let us know how your riding experiences go. We love to cheer each other on here .

Thank you for the Welcome. Nana, how did the Tri GLide ride? I have heard it is hard to steer, but it shouldn't be with the EZ steer on it and the damper.(is that the right word) I am very small and 5'1. I do have some upper body strength from riding horses that want to pull on me.

I only rode around the parking lot as I already have my dream trike, though my husband went out further with it. Both found it fine to steer, but that one had EZ steer on it as does my trike. I am also very small (5', under 110#) but have no problem with steering. Actually, once you are used to it, a trike easily maneuvers and keeps up on twisty roads with most other street bike in my experience. And the stability of the 3 wheels removes a lot of nerves with gravel, wet leaves, etc. in the corners! You will love riding.

Oh, man, you two are making me feel downright TALL. At 5'2", I TOWER over you gals!

But I've got the same issues--short legs, not as much upper body strength as I'd like to have after a long day of riding. That's my main trike-shopping motivation--oh yeah, and I LOVE shiny things! Can't wait to see pix of your trike, IHP.
