Hi all. My Tri Glide was supposed to be shipped on the 23rd. Eight days later, nothing. The dealer got a notice that their was a delay of approximately 3 days. Anyone else know what's going on?

Any chance the dealer showed you the new date on their computer? Some salesmen just can't be trusted to give an honest answer. It does sound like they are one of the few dealers that know how to track a bike/trike. I usually give them a couple of strikes before I don't believe them anymore.
Rupbre - I'm in the exact same boat you are. According to my dealer, my TriGlide shipped out on the 22nd. When I spoke to my salesman this past Saturday, he seemd confident that it would get delivered this week. I sure hope so as I'd like to take advantage of the three-day weekend.
As far as being able to track the delivery, my salesman says they can tell me nothing more than what their computer system tells them. All they know is that the bike shipped; they cannot tell me when it will arrive but they estimate 7 to 10 days from the ship date. At least they were able to provide me with the VIN so I was able to get my insurance lined up.
But to be honest, I have no faith in the dealerships anymore.

How would anyone on the wire know what's going on with the delivery date of someone's bike? About all we can do is offer condolences and hope it comes soon.
Stop whining.
I'm with Hawk on this one. I went through the exact same deal. Apparently, the dealer has very little insight into the actual shipping process. I verified this through the dealership owner, and with other dealerships where I have insider friends.
They'll know when it's going to arrive when it shows up on their dock. I know everyone is eager to get their new toy, but you can stop hating on your dealer or "lying" salesman. You need to be an adult. It will likely turn out your salesman wasn't BeeEssing you, and you'll look like a sniveling little whiner. What advantage does this salesman or dealer garner in lying to you about an anticipated delivery date? Explain that to me.
I had to wait three extra weeks after they thought it would arrive, and I used that time to build a solid rapport with the sales staff, service department, and parts folks. They all call me by name now when I walk in, and I get discounts and high-fives around the place. Use the wait time wisely. They don't control shipping, and by being suspicious and snarky, you're losing out on what could be a great relationship.
The trucks were probably delayed because of the Hurricane and we also had an earthquake last week! York PA is right in the middle of all the fun....
