It has the 2053cc motor so i was thinking at least the huge 2ltr motor is a good bet to
pull the added weight of trike kit. I really like the power of the bike, so willing to spend
the bucks if it is reasonable cost upgrade. Its the 2005 limited addition that i picked new
in 05 and now has 42000 and still running strong. Maybe to many miles to sink the cost
to trike, but its 125cubic inch power is awsome. I'm actually spoiled by it's raw power,
i am annual on maintenance so think it will run strong for many more miles.
I just purchased a new still in the crate 2010 kaw lt classic and it arrived at my dealer today. We will be triking it with a Motor Trike kit. We went to look at the bike today and can hardly wait until it is finished. I offset some of the cost by letting the dealer have the not needed parts for him to sell on ebay. This is going to be my retirement ride and we can hardly wait.
Thanks! I am hoping it will be finished before our annual Toy Run in November. Good news! We are picking up our new trike Saturday!!
I triked a VN2000 last May. I used the American Trike independent suspension. Sam Camp from American Trike took my bike and made up the swing arm. Other than the VN2000 has way to much HP and torque and I sheered off the bolts to the axle, I have learned to resist the hole shots and have really enjoyed the trike. Motor Trike makes a kit as well but it is not independent but is a fixed axle. I saw one at the Ohio BTW State Rally. Did not look very impressive, he had to get a 2 into 1 exhaust plus it hung down , American Trike reworked my pipes so as to have dual exhausts.
