For people like myself that ride one up, the Street Glide trike was the perfect answer. I loved my SG Trike and that is why I'm stripping down the TG to look more sporty! The Triglide is a big boxy trike, with thousands on the road all looking alike. I for one love HD. There is no other bike out there as far as I am concerned. My husband and I thought we might ride two up, so there for the reason for the TG in our garage. He didn't like three and I didn't like back seat. Another reason for the SG being less popular is that it is hard for two people to ride the SG trike and also a fact that most of the two up on a trike are above average in weight, and need the extra space, plus the TG has a little larger load limit, I think (not sure never checked the load on the SG. I'm not putting down people with larger frames, I'm no Twiggy myself, but just stating a fact. My SG trike didn't sit on the show room floor a week before it was sold. It was 1 yr old, with 20,000 miles on it. I have had several ladies that are biker friends of mine, that have bought TG this year, that have sent me request on how to take the tourpac off, they don't like them. I think the SG Trike is more of a womans trike, and if Harley had given it a little more of a chance, it would have made a go. When out riding on the SG trike, a lot of guys on two would come up and ask me what kit I had on the bike, even some of the younger riders would say, "I'm not ready for a trike, but when it happens, that is one I would ride", most of the two wheelers didn't even know Harley made the SG Trike and these were HD riders. Location does make a difference. Here in TN we have such beautiful areas to ride and lots of them, the sales are very good for the Harley trike. You can call me a Street Glide Trike fan.
I'm sick that they quite making them.
