DFT seat question ?
Just put a smoothie kit on my 06 Ultra Classic which has an adjustable backrest with a sundowner seat. Loved the seat on the two wheeled bike but find it uncomfortable and too high. Anyone else have this issue? I tried mounting the seat forward and back a little but can't get it just right so it's comfortable. I might try to mount the body back a little. Thanks

Ive a DFT rear in my 93 Electra Glide Classic. The kits Ive looked at when attached to the bike. Sit level. Taking away that "tilt back" feeling. Like sitting in your bike. Even though I have a mustang 2 up regal seat on mine. I had to modify the seat's rubber feet. My seat in particular had 6 rubber stand-offs on the bottom run of the seat pan. These feet are riveted in place and can be drilled out and re-riveted back in place if need be. Look at the feet closely. On my seat I had two large feet compared to four smaller feet. Six feet in all. By removing them. It allowed the seat to sit lower. You can even leave 2 feet on in the front, allowing the rest of the pan to sit lower on the frame. It's your option on what you want to do. This is also the easiest way to adjust your seating.
You can look at the DFT Build I did of my Trike at this LINK If you need any more ideas.
