Brake pads
I'm a new member and very new to all this VW stuff.
I just bought a VW trike with rear disk brakes. The previous owner didn't know much about them. He thinks the conversion kit was bought out of Hot VW's magazine and that the brake pads might be Subaru. I don't know what kind of pads to buy when I need them. Any Ideas out there?

Re: Brake pads
welcome I would pull the pads and go to NAPA to see if they can ID them.

Re: Brake pads
Thanks, I'm in no rush, don't need the brakes yet, but I would like to know what I need when I do need them.

Re: Brake pads
99% of the time the disk brake conversion for VWs use the same pad as on the front disk brakes of a Karmann Ghia. Take one of your pads with you and ask a set of brake pads for the front of a 1972 VW Ghia and I'll bet you find what you need. If not, post again and I will get you a specific part number.
