gonna be an attention getter for sure! A lot of trike in a small package, damn near dangerous! Most folks enjoy looking at something different, I know I sure do. Enjoy the attention, you have certainly earned it!:clapping:

Well.....
The bike guys did look at it a lot and say wow a lot. But never really understood just how modified the engine/drive train is. "That's different cool"
Then went to the car show. Those guys definitely saw/knew/understand how modified it is. They were picking up the details. Then coming back and looking again. Got a lot of "every time I look there is more detail".
Overall it was fun getting some attention.
I do agree, there is a lot of fine detail and work done to your trike. It is a masterpiece, if not yet, soon.

I am not vw guy at all, like everyone, I've owned a bug and loved it. What you did to that vw motor was awesome, even if I didn't understand it all. Your whole ride is a testament to your knowledge and skills as a designer, fabricator, mechanic, and inventor. My hat is off to you and I think it's great that the car guys gave you some props, even if the bike guys were clueless ... nice job.
If you had not been along for the ride here in the forum....and you were to walk up on it someplace.....
I am gonna assume you are not a motorhead but that you are a long standing bike/trike enthusiast.
You would also be "I dont know but it is different".
Maybe one day we will all be at a rally together.
There is not much around me here.
I hope to put it in the trailer and take it with me on family vacation.
I am not seen a lot of shows, a few, we have something the call Hot August Nights, was for cars and street rods but these last 4 years they have had bikers show up a few days before the car gig, they do call it something.
My point is, it is loaded with nice work and rides.
If I were a judge, wow, think I would have to give the award to that mid mounted VW Trike.
I can think of 3 different class's that you would have won over here, and I mean easy.
I just can not believe the time and effort you put into the trike to get it where it is today. Awesome in so many ways.
Rex I've been reading since day one and I am still so impressed with your work. Anyone that knows anything can appreciate your creation. Stand tall and be proud.
Phone in shirt pocket.
A bit floppy and the sound is garbled.

How an engine sounds, is important to me...your trike is definitely pleasant to listen to....seems to pull real easy at cruise..... begins to sound mean with more throttle. it has multiple personalities I am sure! Nice trike and scenery!
