our animals defiantly control our lives.
They are like our kids
They are all so spoiled
They all have their own personality
Chicken Foot is smart i mean real smart. Sometimes I thing she knows it to.
Bullet is getting smarter but still more crazy
Taz our oldest dog is just a grumpy old man
and the Ol'Lady has some cats

Isn't this how it's supposed to be? If not, shhhhh don't tell my 3 canine babies or 2 feline babies. We even call them babies and the food baby food!

Good luck with Bullet :clapping: your family is growing strong. She looks like a terrer, then again all youngsters are . She will calm down after getting into the routine. Chicken foot will keep her in line.

I woke up real early this morning, Came out to the front room finding all 3 dogs asleep
I went into the Jacuzzi, when I came back in and seen my oldest dog Taz was still in the exact same spot.
I offered him his morning pill wrapped in some sandwich meat, He would not take it.
His breather was hard and not right
We knew is was his time
The Vets office finally opened, I called them and said to bring him right away
As we gathered what we needed but Taz got worse.
We decided to let him pass at home. He would not have liked the ride and we did not want him to be afraid at this time
We kept sitting with him until the end.
Around 8:30 this morning I lost my best friend.
I am not ashamed to say I shed some tears for him as his went on.
I put Taz in my back yard with other animals we have lost in the past.
He was a crazy puppy, grew up to be a good dog and died still in control of the house.
He will be missed

Bob, I'm truly sorry to hear about Taz. Sounds like he lived a full life and was loved by his family until his time came. Our thoughts are with you my friend
-
Sorry to hear that Bob .. I always hate to hear when loved ones pass ... no matter how many legs they have.
My prayers go out to you and your family.
-
I am so sorry for your loss Bob.
There are no words that can really express the loss of a loved one. having been there too many times myself.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

From one dog lover to another.... I understand. So sorry to hear.

This has not been a good weekend.
As i said, Saturday my oldest dog died
Now if that was not bad enough Sunday the other 2, Chicken Foot and Bullet found a hole in the fence and have been gone since.
We looked for hours yesterday and I have been looking for hours today. 1 person seen them and had Bullet in her arms but they both got away.
I have put about 60 flyers out so far today.
Taking a break then will go out looking again
We live out in the country so there is a lot of wooded areas, farms and such

I’m so sorry about Taz Bob.
I’m also so happy that you are reunited with your two adventurers :clapping:.
Owning dogs is a roller coaster ride, lot’s of ups and downs but worth every minute.

Just gave them a bath
They still smell like skunk and now I do to
They may get another bath tomorrow
Was thinking about putting some type of GPS tracking on them
Need to do some research on that first

Two years ago i went with a state biologist tracking a radio collared bear [GPS] And he also had with him two bear tracking dogs, With GPS collars on them , I wasn't very impressed to say the least... We were 8 miles in the woods and the dogs chased a deer, One came back to us in about an hour, It took him two days to pin point the other dog....
It seems that as long as the dog stayed put you can find him, If he gets up and keeps on moving its like tracking a shooting star...
I over the years when a lost dog would come to my house[smelled my dogs]i would find /call the owner when they the dog had a collar with a phone number on it...One time one dog didn't have a Collar on i took him to my Vet and he found the owner because the dog was Microchipped.....

They still smell like skunk
How long does this last
-
Bob... if you haven’t already - try this.
Mix together:
1 Quart 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4. Cup Baking Soda
1. Coca Cola - (1 can, regular Coke, not diet)
1. Teaspoon Liquid Soap (like Dawn dishwashing soap)
If you want to make SURE ... rinse the dog after the first wash and soap ‘em up again..but often 1 wash works pretty good. Since it was a while ago and the smell has faded somewhat, could be 1 washing would work for your dogs
Rinse very well after the last wash.
May have to double or triple recipe depending on how big the dog is and whether long or short hair.
My sister has used this formula on her farm dogs several times and swears by it.
