While riding my 2002 Honda Goldwing trike on the interstate two weeks ago, it suddenly shut down, then restarted and we traveled 5 miles before it shut down. Just before the wrecker arrived I was able to restart the trike and subsequently drove it onto the wrecker flatbed for the trip to the Honda shop. They have had it for two weeks and cannot find the problem. They say it is behaving itself!! Any ideas? Goldfever

Denis,
Did you have any recent service or did you do anything prior to this incident.
Did the FI light come on ?
It could be a gulp of water in the fuel tank or even a loose wire connection.

My best guess would be a ground issue, as in loose ... a trip on a wrecker might have wiggled it enough to "behave".

Hi Lee: The oil light and F1 lights came on...No service to trike prior, but did install a new Interstate gel battery two months ago...I check my fluids before I left and checked them on the roadside, but all fluids were full before and after! Tx...Goldfever

+1, but, I'd hope the dealer was at least that smart.
