Re: TrikeTalk Northeast 2014 Rally Registration
Took a car ride up 91 into VT. ( some may be going that way to Rally) road is in great shape. Bridge construction in Brattelboro area. We by passed it taking exit 2.. Some nice stops on the way up( for ones going up early or on the way home )
if you want to stretch your legs or sand box stops
1) Yankee Candle is a great stop. Like a little Disney worldhttp://gonewengland.about.com/cs/macentralsights/a/aayankeecandle.htm.( free)
2) Butterfly sanctuary ( you walk among 1,000s of butterfly's ) ( admission is charged $10.00)
http://www.magicwings.com
both above in Deerfield,Mass
3) and a nice rest stop at the Vermont border( a little tricky, merging back into 91 be careful )
Re: TrikeTalk Northeast 2014 Rally Registration
Yankee candle and Magicwings are both on rte. 5 /10 in South Deerfield, Ma., John
Re: TrikeTalk Northeast 2014 Rally Registration
Thanks Jonesy. Brain cramp.
Corrected. Going north Exit 24 off 91 (going south on 91 exit 25)
Also a few Cracker Barrels off of 91.
Re: TrikeTalk Northeast 2014 Rally Registration
There is another nice place to stop at in the same area of MA. Nice place to have lunch walk around and take in a New England small town. http://www.bridgeofflowersmass.org/
Re: TrikeTalk Northeast 2014 Rally Registration
The bridge of flowers is a good stop, and its not really out of the way. Right on the way to GGI. you get off rte. 91n at Greenfield on rte. 2w, 8 miles to rte. 112n, bridge of flowers there, after you'd take rte. 112n, it turns into rte. 100n in VT. and goes to GGI. Its maybe 30-35 miles from when you get on rte. 112n off rte.2w. nice country ride, do it a lot every year.

All right, I'll join up. Will start with middle/southern MD trike club.
William (Bill) Pabst screen name "Blueribbon" from Savage, MD
I don't see Sat. eve meal registration.
Gray Ghost full except 3rd floor, which I can't make with my failing knees. Looking at other alternatives.

Bill, I've been told that Carina [the owner] is who you need to talk to Monday. the 28th, she'll be back from vacation. She has made plans for a nearby inn to take the overflow from GGI , her help may not know of this arrangement. You have to call GGI and tell them you are with us.
Re: TrikeTalk Northeast 2014 Rally Registration
Bill:
I just spoke to Carina (Owner of the GGI) today, she is on vacation and will be back tomorrow. Give her a day and call and speak to her, she is handleing the overflow with another B &B next door, request a first floor room.
The Sat. dinner is the group dinner on the registration.

Hi Bill! Glad you'll be joining us!! Please go to the registration page and add your info so we can be sure to have a name tag ready for you; this is also where you can sign up for the meal (payment will be made directly to the Inn at check in), and to order a tshirt if you want.
Re: TrikeTalk Northeast 2014 Rally Registration
First overflow to Gray Ghost is/was Dove Berry Inn. It is full trike rally weekend.
2nd overflow - Kitzhos Inn - they are on vacation until 13 May.
3rd overflow - Big Bear Lodge (802-464-5591) has rooms, but don't know their rates, as they are going to honor the rates at Gray Ghost. I'm booked in there! Finely a place to sleep (though I did have contingency plan)
Re: TrikeTalk Northeast 2014 Rally Registration
Big Bears Lodge is the main backup inn for the rally, as far as I was informed.
Re: TrikeTalk Northeast 2014 Rally Registration
Just signed up for the rally and at the Big Bear Lodge. They still have plenty of rooms and the rates are the same as the host hotel. Looking forward to meeting new friends and catching up with some ole friends at the rally. Finally a rally on my birthday weekend !! I'll be 21 (just a few times over and over)!!

Re: TrikeTalk Northeast 2014 Rally Registration
One thing I noticed when I rode up to GGI a couple weeks ago, there is a bus stop in front of GGI that once a hour goes into town and back. If it should rain folks could go into town and wander around some, small shops and snack bars around the town.
