Tilting side car
My son in law wants a sidecar for his Harley. Don't know what model Harley, it's the loud one:D
He will not use it that much and doesn't want to spend a lot. It's just to take his huge Boxer and my great grand kids along.
Thinking about building a tilting type. Has anyone rode one? Would you still need to rake it?

A friend of mine had one years ago. I think it was made in Connecticut. To me it made the bike feel heavy and sluggish to respond to steering input. It doesn't need to be raked because its a two wheeler and leans. I do know if we were out and it started to rain, he got real uncomfortable with it. The sidecar wants to pass the bike when you apply the brakes and gets pretty scary on two wheels. To me it lost all the advantages of a sidecar. It didn't have the stability of a three wheeler, and it didn't have the nimble feeling of a two wheeler.

Side cars are a different beast ... test rode a Heritage Soft tail with one at a rally ... kind of scary ... LOL ... but I think you'd get used to it.
