on my 1999 fatboy which has a lehman rouge kit on it the body is mounted by a sub frame assembly that conected to the factory fender strut mounting holes and 2 heavy braces that go from the subframe to the rear passenger footpeg mounts .the subframe is shaped like a big step it goes back then down almost to the centerline of the rear axel then back suporting the bottom rear of the body sorry i couldn't get better pics [ATTACH=CONFIG]105701[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]105702[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]105703[/ATTACH]
Thank you! I am getting ready to mount my replica servicar body on my '98 Heritage. If I understand, the framework bolts to the fender struts (two bolts each side) effectively lengthening them, drop down behind the struts at 90*, then another 90 to the rear?
here's a pic of a leman kit you can just see the subframe between the tires upsidedown .
That really does look substantial. Must be heavy. Drum brakes?
