Towing Motorcycle Trailer with Car
I have an Aspen motorcycle tent trailer, with 6 wire round connector, and wanted to tow it behind my car, which has a 4 wire flat connector. The car uses the same wire for left/right turn signals AND brake signals. However, the trailer has a separate wire for brake and separate for turn -- I understand this is the way most motorcycles are wired, so the trailer is wired the same.
Is there a way to make the brakes work other than running a signal from the brake pedal of my car back to the trailer wire? Something simple?

You'll have to purchase a converter box from an auto parts store/trailer supply store. The converter "scrambles" the signal so it will work correctly for your application. They range in price anywhere from $30-$100 depending on what features you'd like to incorporate into it. Hope that helps
