I got a Roadsmith HTS 1800 trike. Can I jack it up from under the trailer hitch?
I just need it high enough to take the tires off.

I am also interested about jacking my trike. I do have a HF Motorcycle lift that I used on my previous Spyder. I lifted it completely off the ground and used jack stands when working on it. But I have not yet addressed the proper way to lift a trike. Looking for advice from those experienced doing this. Thanks..... Jim
this is my first trike so I can only speak for my new experiences. when I bought this trike it needed all 3 tires, I used a small rolling floor jack and put it under the rear and jacked it up then put stands on each side so I could take the tires off, then I used my motorcycle lift jack at the center stand part of the frame to lift and hold the front up
this was on a Goldwing with a older Lehman trike
When I first bought my 08 GW with a Champion Conversion, I reached out to Champion and they were awesome at supplying lots of pdf files about everything from conversion install instructions to maintenance requirements.

[SIZE=3]I used a rolling motorcycle jack when I needed to change out a fender. Taking a fender off requires removal of the wheel which can change the 'balancing' of the trike considerably. I'd use a jack stand as well. As for lifting the trike by the trailer hitch, it might depend on how solidly your hitch is mounted to the frame. For safety's sake, I'd put a tie-wrap around the front brake handle and lift the trike by the axle as near the wheel as you can get. Like with a car, break the lug nut loose before raising the vehicle.
