waxing question here!
I love to keep my bike wax'ed up, and nice and clean, after rides...BUT i have a thought... I always wax on, then use a rag to polish off...HOW POSSIBLE IS IT DURING WINTER STORAGE, to just put wax on all the chrome, and keep it waxed up without polishing off during the long storage winter months?? (just trying to keep rust off my chrome) How hard will it be to clean up after, leaving wax on for maybe 4 or 5 months??
Anybody try this method, and how did it work??

I ride 12 months of the year, so I know nothing about storage. However, I can tell you I put wax on a section of my car while it was parked in the garage, had to assist a neighbor, then had to take him to the hosiptal in his truck. I came home late and forgot about it for a couple of days. I had a very hard time getting it off.

Ronnie, my guess is it would hard to get off after that much time.

Spray WD-40 on the chrome, wipe off any excess

If you do that you run the risk of trapping moisture under the wax, causing corrosion.
If it will sit that long, spray WD40 on a rag & wipe it over the chrome.
Then in the spring, wash it.

What is this “winter storage” you speak of. These words do not seem to have any meaning or context for me.:qpnmt:

Ronnie, just use Zaino on it. That stuff rocks! Definitely wipe it off according to the directions. There is no powdery residue.
