Bagdad to Jerome, AZ
Took a nice ride yesterday. Bagdad to Jerome, AZ and back. 217 miles in total, hot and humid on the way there cool and wet on the way back. I am convinced that I need a GoPro. I am very lucky to have twistys and sweepers in every direction. The ride across gives you a look at everything from low desert cactus to cool pines. I only stopped for photos around Jerome and a few on the road across Mingus Mountain.
Not the Tail of the Dragon but it has elevation changes of over a thousand feet.

So does Jerome still have all the Artists up there? Last time, I was there, sixties music was playing everywhere and you thought you were back in Woodstock.

It's still thought of as an artist community. Getting a little touristy since the old days Still a cool place to visit.

Yea, when I lived in Az, I really enjoyed that place. Talking about laid back, of course that was 20 years ago.

This used to be the Bartlett Hotel. Now in the area that was the lower level has several targets for visitors to throw coins at. The coins benefit the historical society.

These are the blooms of two Century plants. The stalks can approach 20 feet tall and grow very quickly in the final spring of the plant's life. Though they are called Century plant they live about 25 years.

Thanks Lola and everyone else for the compliments. Next time I make this trip I plan to continue north to Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon and Flagstaff. I hope to have a GoPro by then.
Kurt.
