1988 FLHS
Has anyone here done a trike conversion on this model and year using a body kit, and how the trike body mates up on the right side cover. That cover houses the battery and protrudes about four to five inches out further than the left side cover. Just curious as to whether any mods such as battery relocation need to be done to mount a trike body to that year. Thanks for any and all feedback....Rickster

Welcome to TT Rick.
Lehman made a kit back in the day for your model, but don't think they still do.
We happen to have a Lehman specialist on site, (Lee H. Mann), who can shed light on your inquiry.
If he doesn't respond in a day or so, I'll PM him on your behalf...

Up until 1997, Lehman had a cutout in the body for the oil tank.
The late 80's models required a battery relocation between the fender struts where the old wheel & tire had resided. This is a 1989 model.

88 flhs
thanks for the replies to my post. The photo sent by Lee H Mann of the 89 fl is what I've been looking for. At least to see that there may be some hope for my 88 fl. I've been somewhat in contact with Oldys customs in Iowa. They have a body kit on their site that I'm going to check out. I'm in the very beginning stages of checking out options and do like the body style trikes. However I don't want to jump in and order some kit that I'd be disappointed with. Oldys is app. 300 miles from my location. "Show me its going to fit" works for me. Again thanks to all for the replies and welcomes...Rickster
