Good question, I'm subscribed. Not much in this forum about the Spyder.
I have perused the internet and found numbers ranging from 29 to 38’sh... just thought I would check with the crew here for their experiences.
I have a 2017 F3-Ltd, 35-40 depending on how heavy handed I am (2017 are geared different than 2016 and older).
This is just my experience in my 3000 miles, so far.......
Apples to Oranges here......With my Ex 08 998, 32 to 38....

Hey Juice...
Thank you for the reply.
Hope your injury is all healed up. Was hoping to see you and Jan at Kerrville in October and bend your ears some about the Spyder....hopefully next year. Carla
My wife rides a 16 RT Limited and gets 35mpg at 70mph in ECO mode. It will go down the more we go up so stay between 70 and 75 only on interstates. But even that is dependent on wind and hills. What few hills we have in this part of Texas.:)
Thanks Juice.
We've had Michele's '16 Spyder LTD for several months now and never kept any kind of track of the mileage. I'll do that when when we get back to riding again in the spring (unless we happen to have a couple of warm days between now and January).
Depends on weather and speeds. But I avg around 32-35mpg at 55 to 70 mph.
I would get less on two up riding and pulling a trailer then would avg 25-33 mpg this was traveling out west at the time.
Thanks guys for your responses...:)
Really just kind-of surprised that the Spyder gets about the same as my Gold Wing trike...I had the idea the Spyder might get closer to 40.
I have seen 40+ BUT you have to drive slower and easy the throttle when starting off.
And gives me a chance to break the Christmas bulbs at the top of the forum :yahoo:

The 1330 cc 3 cyl will get closer to 40mpg. Its the Vtwin that is 28-32. I have a Vtwin and that's where I fall. It is better then the Goldwing Trike I had.
"Pre 2014 were 990cc and 2014 up are 1330cc. Jan has updated her 2011 RT, to a 2014 RT-Limited, and I know have a 2017 F3-Limited. Two " The Vtwins are all 998cc. The 990/992 are engine model designations not engine sizes. Very confusing I know, even some dealers don't get it right.

The 1330cc's won't get that kind of mileage until broken-in between 5k and 10k. Or at least that's when my wife's started getting that kind of mileage and in ECO mode.
We purchased our 2016 RTS in July and love it. We are getting between 36/42 mpg on the average.

Hi Carla,
I'm getting about 30 to 34 depending on headwinds. Also , you will be doing some passing which requires more throttle to safely pass.
